Presented by Christien Mann (B.PhysT, BASI Pilates) and Lené van Heerden (B.PhysT)
Christien’s main focus is to motivate people to move from the fear of pain to freedom of movement, with the aim to change chronic pain patterns such as lower back and neck pain through movement. Working with the body she identified the importance of looking at the body as a unit instead of separate components.
Lené has a big interest in sport rehabilitation and movement. After working years at different sport practices she realised a solution needs to be found for chronic and recurrent injuries. Fascia movement techniques have proven to make a significant difference in the rehabilitation of the athletes treated in practice.
Together, Christien and Lené formulated a technique to address these needs. This technique is now called the MAP Movement.
